Max was born in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. The home vinyl and CD collection of such artists as Vladimir Vysotsky, Akvarium, Kino, Eric Clapton, Bob Marley, U2 have inspired Max to start learning music from an early age. Therefore, Max became interested in Chopin, Rachmaninoff, and Puccini. According to him:
"Classical music is the beginning of pop music history."
Max learned classical guitar during middle school. He has also started to write his lyrics and music from the age of 13th after he heard The White Stripes, Led Zeppelin, and Nirvana for the first time. Max self-taught himself piano and music production in Logic Pro X at the age of 15th.
In 2016, Max graduated from School N.606 and went to study music theory, composition, and education at Drew University in Madison, NJ. He did several internships at Atlantic Records, Elektra Records, Warner Music Group, and Warner Chappell Music while studying at the university.
His debut EP Busy. Lonely. Happy. Lovely. was recorded at Atlantic Records Studio in New York. At the moment, Max produces music for his solo projects, film & TV. In 2020-21, Max wrote and produced music for the Art-House Short-Film INSIGHT, and the theatre play We Will Take It From Here.
Max has released several singles like New Normal and My Dear Friend as a part of his debut LP East Coast (the release is planned for 2023).
At the moment, The Velvet Underground, Joy Division, The Clash, Molchat Doma, Talking Heads, Kraftwerk, Gary Clark Jr., Kimbra, and Miami Horror are the main source of inspiration for Max.
On July 23rd, Max released his new single Thinkin’ About You. This is a collaboration with LA-Indonesian producer Gibs and indie artist LOOZ. According to Viner, “The song was inspired by Baz Luhrmann’s movie The Great Gatsby.”
