The song is two different perspectives of the same heartbreak. Sometimes people struggle in different ways and grow apart but that doesn’t mean they didn’t equally want it to badly workout. Sometimes it just doesn’t. But life keeps on going and you have to move through the pain which can sometimes feel unreal. In this song we really explore the side of an already broken person leaving a relationship which in turn leaves the other broken. They both still have a longing for it to workout but recognize that it can’t.

Taylor Tote's long-time musical collaborator, Nick Ryan steps out on his own singing for the first time on this duet. Similar vibe to Lady Gaga/Bradley Cooper's "Shallow" but centered around an acoustic guitar. Both artist have loads of material in the works with plans to release more projects this summer.
